Texas Tech has one spring practice workout left on Monday, but the pinnacle of the Red Raiders' spring drills unfolds today with the annual spring game.

Kickoff will be at 1 p.m. at Jones AT&T Stadium. There is no charge for parking or admission. All fans will be seated on the stadium's west side.

The spring game is a glorified practice to Tech coach Mike Leach. He said it won't influence personnel decisions more than a weekday workout.

"I don't think there's any questions that necessarily will be answered,'' Leach said. "I think it'll be more just having (players) continue to work and get in the best position we can for them to continue to work through the offseason.''

Gates open at 11 a.m., and the first 5,000 fans will receive roster cards. Tech will try to make it more interesting by tallying points for the defense in a myriad of ways - seven points for a touchdown, three for a turnover, two for a three-downs-and-out and one point each for a sack or a turnover on downs.

The day's events start with an hour-long children's football clinic beginning at 11 a.m. and conducted by members of the football team. Youngsters interested are asked to check in just beforehand at the stadium's southwest ramp.

The second Mike Leach-ASCO Fantasy Football Camp has been set for Aug. 3-4 at the Tech Football Training Facility and Jones AT&T Stadium. The camp is designed to give fans attending insight into all aspects of the Red Raiders' football program.

Topics scheduled to be covered include Tech's offensive and defensive philosophies; breaking down opponents; and the team's strength, rehab and academic programs.

The cost is $1,350 and includes all meals, two-night hotel accommodations and a Friday night social with Leach. Attendees also will receive a gift, Tech officials said, and have a chance to win a trip for two with the team to one of the 2007 road games.

More information on the camp is available from Tommy McVay at (806) 742-2738.
