Potts, Stone admitted to Covenant hospital
Texas Tech quarterback Taylor Potts and cornerback Nathan Stone were admitted to Covenant Medical Center after being injured in Saturday’s 48-28 victory over New Mexico at Jones AT&T Stadium, a Covenant spokesman said.
As of 11 p.m., the spokesman said neither had been discharged.
Potts was examined for a concussion he suffered on a second-quarter sack.

When Texas Tech offensive lineman Brandon Carter was spotted in the crowd late in the first quarter, Red Raider fans began chanting his last name.
The senior guard, who earned all-America honors last season, was suspended indefinitely and stripped of his captaincy following last week’s 29-28 loss at Houston.
