Due to the snow and ice storm that hit the  South Plains on Thursday, the opening day of Texas Tech baseball practice has been postponed to Saturday.

Texas Tech canceled school on Friday, and with the roads in Lubbock still iced over, the coaching staff decided to go ahead and wait until Saturday to begin practices. It won’t be known, however, until Saturday morning whether practice will be held at Dan Law Field or possibly the Athletic Training Center on the south side of Jones AT&T Stadium.
