TEXAS TECH – The Red Raiders made a statement with Saturday’s 41-13 trouncing of Oklahoma. Taylor Potts threw for 388 yards and two TDs in what was the program’s most lopsided win ever over the Sooners. Also headlining the offense was running back Baron Batch, who rushed for 136 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Alex Torres had a season-high 11 catches for 163 yards in the win. On defense, Brandon Sharpe, who entered the game ranked second in the nation in sacks, added 2 1/2 more to his season total. With the win, head coach Mike Leach surpassed his predecessor, Spike Dykes, to become the school’s all-time winningest head coach. Texas Tech is bowl eligible for the 16th straight season. The Red Raiders will hit the road to take on Baylor Saturday night.
