TERRA HAUTE, Ind. – The Texas Tech women’s team finished fourth at Monday’s NCAA Cross Country Championships, the Lady Raiders’ best finish in four appearances at the national meet.

The top four teams receive trophies, so Tech took home more hardware after former runner Sally Kipyego won the individual title each of the last three years.

Lillian Badaru and Purity Biwott led Tech on Monday by finishing 19th and 25th, respectively, and both earned all-America recognition. Sisters Winrose and Caroline Karunde also finished among the top 60 for the Lady Raiders.
