Tech-OSU game picked for prime time on ABC
Texas Tech announced Monday that its Big 12 Conference football game against Oklahoma State on Nov. 14 will start at 7 p.m. and be broadcast regionally on ABC (channel 28, Suddenlink Cable channel 8).
The game, which will be played at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Okla., will be Tech’s seventh television appearance of the season and its fourth on ABC. The Red Raiders are 2-1 in games on ABC and 4-2 overall in televised games.
The Red Raiders (6-3, 3-2 Big 12) have won nine of their last 12 meetings with the Cowboys (6-2, 3-1), but have not won in Stillwater since 2001. Tech won last year’s game, which also was a prime-time meeting on ABC, 56-20 in Lubbock.
Yeah, I can cheer my team on. Wreck’Em Tech!
Are we going to have props like UT’s famous curtain?

ABC is sure hoping Iowa State doesn’t beat OSU this week. Can’t see that happening but you never know.

This would be a great win on the road, prime time on ABC, that is a pretty big load.
The week will help some guys get healthy (ier). I am very concerned about Brandon Carter’s hammy, for example.

K – I think you and I are either not smart enough or perhaps not dumbed-down enough to understand the wit of okie_st_power.
What reindeer? Is this a Christmas or Alaska joke?
Or not a joke at all – just some Okie hayseed learning to use his compooter

Hey Coach Leach! They want to kick our tails and we want to prove AGAIN we really are the superior team. Just line up – tell em what we’re runnin and then just out-execute em like Daryl Royal used to do . Just flat-out out play em! We can do that and I think we will do that . This bunch of kids have last yrs OU experience along with this yrs NU experience to draw from . So strap em on and smack em in the mouth Raiders!

Guns UP! Let’s own OKIE Lite in that new stadium Boone gave them. Sure is fun to watch Mike (I AM A MAN, I’M 42!!!) Gundy come out with his charts, graphics, etc. & Captain Leach comes out with a folded up piece of notebook paper, and can STILL hang it on them
Wreck ‘EM!

Xerox U hasn’t won any big games this year. And without Dez Bryant, they aren’t as good. Stillwater is always a tough place to play but it’s not Norman either.

OK, extremely tough to beat osu in Stillwater for some reason. While we absolutely destroy them in Lubbock, Stillwater games always seem to be incredibly close nail biters. While we can’t look past them and must respect them, I feel we are a better team even with all our QB troubles. I think our defense is better and if we can get a solid showing from our offense, we will win. If we get up on them by two scores, they’ll fold like a rented poker table. They will have revenge on their minds, though, because of the beat down we put on them last year in Lubbock…52-20? I believe they were ranked about the same last year as they are right now…karma? I see a closer game this year, but if we match their intensity, we’ll come out on top.

This should be an excellent & close game. It will boil down to turnovers and costly penalties. Tech must play better offensively (passing game) or it will be a long night. Last week, Potts went thru his progression well and made good reads. He just overthrew (mechanics) several wide open receivers that would have resulted in huge yards. Doege held the ball too long and didn’t get much protection.
Watch for OSU to try and establish their running game like A&M did. I’m sure OSU will watch the A&M game a 1,000 times and probably pull the Ole Miss game tape also. With Tech’s secondary playing so deep and slow LBs, OSU very well could have success with the option. I believe they will go to it several times. If Tech’s defense has success limiting the run, I do not believe OSU will beat Tech thru soley the air.
Here’s hoping Potts has fully recovered and brings his A game. We need him to do so.

Maybe the Big 12 should accept this offer from Boise State. Send a different team each year to Idaho.. yuck.. Who would want to play in Boise??? On the other hand, look at what it would do for college football in general? Of couse Texas would opt out no matter what. Oklahoma teams seem to be the only ones with any guts to schedule true non Conf. good teams. So, when the Big 12 teams start beating up each other, down the rankings we all go, cept Texas who seems to have referees or something on there side.
