A&M showed up, Tech not so much. The Aggies came into Lubbock and won at Jones AT&T Stadium for the first time since 1993.
A&M 45, Tech 30; 4th
Tech adds another score and a two-point conversion to make it a 15 point ball game again, but with not much time left, Tech needs some help.
A&M 45, Tech 22; 4th
Johnson keeps on the draw up the middle, fakes Cody Davis out at the 10 and goes untouched for the touchdown. That ought to do it. 45-22 A&M with 8:38 remaining
A&M 38, Tech 22; 4th
Stephens gallops into the endzone, and Tech adds a 2-point conversion to cut the A&M lead down to 16 headed into the fourth quarter.
A&M leads 38-14 with 6:19 to go in the third quarter, after a Tech turnover and a A&M FG.
A&M 35, Tech 14; 3rd
A&M QB Jerrod Johnson just went up the tunnel to the A&M lockerroom with a trainer. Not sure the injury, just after A&M running back Michaels ran 44 yards for a TD to put the Aggies up by three TDs
A&M 28, Tech 14; Half
Potts is intercepted in the end zone by Terrence Frederick for a touchback. A&M kneels to end the first half. 28-14 A&M.
A&M 28, Tech 14; 2nd
Gray barrels into the end zone for the touchdown. Bullock’s PAT is good. 28-14 A&M, and the Jones Stadium crowd — including the new sections — are stone silent.
A&M 21, Tech 14; 2nd
Michael dives over the top for the 1-yard TD run. A&M takes the 21-14 lead.
Tech 14, A&M 14; 2nd
Gray barrels in from 3 yards out for the touchdown. Bullock’s PAT is good and this game is tied again at 14.
Tech 14, A&M 7; 1st
Potts finds Ed Britton all alone, hits him, and Britton does the rest, getting a great block from Lewis at the 10 to waltz into the end zone for the touchdown. PAT is good. 14-7 Red Raiders with 30 seconds left in the first quarter.
Tech 7, A&M 7; 1st
Gray takes a swing pass from Johnson and goes untouched into the end zone for the touchdown. PAT by Brady Bullock good. Game tied at 7. Looks like A&M’s hurry up offense giving Tech D trouble.
Tech 7, A&M 0; 1st
Pass to Uzoma Nwachukwu, fumbled, Tech recovers at the A&M 38.
Franklin Mitchem recovers the fumble.
Tech 7, A&M 0; 1st
Potts quick pass out to Torres, makes one guy miss and outraces A&M secondary for the touchdown down the right sideline. Matt Williams’ PAT is true. Tech 7, A&M 0.
Tech 0, A&M 0; 1st
Tech starts withe the ball on the 20. Potts enters the game as the starting QB.

Well, Potts may not be playing defense, and he hasn’t let A&M march up and down the field at will, BUT…His TWO (2) first half interceptions are NOT helping things…The last one was at the goal line or in the endzone and surely wiped out 7 points!!! Come on Raiders…..WAKE UP!!!

I sure would like some feedback as to the calls. Sounds on radio there could be some questions. BTW what’s the rules say about not measuring anymore? I thought that that was just common curtesy, but recall there hasn’t been much lately. Is that to “speed-up the game”….?

We were a favorite in this game. But that was with sticks! With Potts we would have been the underdog. Guess that should send a message…NO MORE POTTS!!!!! Doege was put in too late

I am still curious about our slaughter games. Do we have a spy giving them our playbook? Or are those teams better coached and have figured Leach out? Game like this are tough to take. Loosing to Texas and A&M, not a good year!

I could feel this awful performance coming. Potts is awful and the team thought we could just waltz in and win. WRONG! Save the season Raiders and win out. This was pitiful.

OK, I gave the D credit last week but this was pathetic. Potts’ performance removed any question about who the starting QB should be when Sheffield is healthy, but this one is on the D. McNeill has made a bad defense marginally better, but that’s about as far as it goes. I don’t know if they just don’t have enough talent (Leach should share the blame for that) or a bad scheme, but as often as not they seem to be just as porous as they were under Setincich. Might be time for a completely new approach. Another inept performance by Nebraska today makes me wonder how much credit the D actually deserves for last week. On the whole, another incredibly poor performance by the coaching staff, Leach foremost. The Aggies haven’t been able to stop anybody all year, yet they held Tech in check? Absolutely pathetic. I think the players are trying hard, but the coaches are letting them down.

Should of been 28-7 at end of 1st quarter. Potts can get yards but not points. Doege should have come in 2nd quarter.
Defense lost this game but Potts didn’t lead and made mistakes. Took crowd out of it and got “D” tired with too many turnovers.
Doege needs to start KU and hope our D comes to play.

The Aggies came ready to play and we didnt. It pains me to say this but the Aggies deserved the win with the way we played. Now with that said Texas A&M will always be a loser team! Next week no one will care you beat us because you will go on to lose because losing is what you do best!! When Sheffield comes back we will go back to the team we were and we will go back to being one of the best teams in Texas something the Aggies will never be!!!

There was not one person on that field for Tech tonight who should not be absolutely embarased. This ones on everyone. That was the worst Tech game I’ve ever listened to or watched. Now I know why the game wasn’t televised. Don’t we all feel like idiots. Congrats to the Aggs. You deserved this game and I hope you can build off it. Thanks for not scoring 100 on us tonight.

The aggies figured out that all potts could do was throw slants because he is the interception king of the ncaa…..the need to go ahead and take away his schlorship so he has time to transfer to abilene christian for his senior season…..he is the one who brought the whole team down, leach starting him was like a suicide mission and he should have known it….doege came in and tried to clean it up but they didnt leave him enough time….thanks a lot taylor potts!!!

Leach needs to do some serious soul searching. I still believe in him, but for what ever reason, he has made the wrong call on the starting quarterback this year and it has really hurt this team’s progress. I actually kind of feel bad for Potts. He is not the one that named himself the starter. By the way, the defense shouldn’t have read the paper and they will not want to this week. They were embarrased.

Yes, Watchdog, they played better when Potts was out. And I’m not even saying he played well tonight, but the defense, which was supposed to be so improved, was awful. A better defensive performance would have at least had us in the game when Doege came in.

Yes, the defense was terrible. We should be used to that, but a defense feeds off the performance of the offense. The offense feeds off the “QB”!!! This lose may have been what Leach needed…
