Texas Tech’s midweek baseball series with Mississippi Valley State has been cancelled after the Delta Devils told Tech officials Saturday they would not be making the trip – even though Tech was paying all the expenses.

The cancellation leaves Tech (23-27) with no midweek games before the regular-season final series against Oklahoma State May 15-17 at Dan Law Field. Tech officials said they are working on a replacement series but nothing has been established.
