Leach is more bark than bite. Probably trying to get Dixon to finish well enough this semester to stay eligible. Then Ruffin can say in August: “I’m really proud of MD. He took care of his business this summer.”

Kudos to Coach Leach and staff, while most teams coddle to their talent, he treats everyone the same and holds each player personally responsible when it comes to their off-field behavior and their academics. Keep up the good work Leach, you’re a winner on the field and setting a great example for the players you coach that winning is important, but it’s certainly not everything. The kids are in school for academics, they need to be motivated to attend class before they can play. Every year only a few will go pro, the rest will be grateful for their education as they begin their non-football careers. Wreck ‘em Tech!

it’s off-season no excuse for missing school and falling behind in class. way to go leach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! everyone knows the rules.

C’mon Dixon! You’ve got the talent; we all know that! Now, so us what else you have! This isn’t rocket science! Just think about the players that aren’t on sholarship that are working their butts off on the field and in the classroom! After all, this is about character and discipline! GO RAIDERS!

the only upside is more reps for the younger fellows. let’s hope they can step up. sesay could help out there as well. this team will need to step up on the d for the next year to be really competitive.

McKinner is a great talent, but his mindset is not where it should be for this team to continue to excel at a high level. The rest of the team appears to be progressing well. We may not have one top-sack person this year, but there are several who can wind up with a few sacks apiece to make up for the losses of Williams and Dixon. In a way, this is better because there may be less times where the remaining talent will have to deal with double and triple team blocking.
