Red Raiders set to scrimmage

Texas Tech will spend most its Monday practice having a scrimmage at Jones AT&T Stadium. The Red Raiders will begin the workout session at 3:30 p.m. Start time for the scrimmage is approximately 4 p.m., according to Tommy McVay, director of football operations.
The scrimmage is expected to run 120 plays with second-team players getting 60 plays, starters 40 plays and third-teamers 20 plays. The format is starters against starters, second units against second units and third-stringers against third-stringers, McVay said.
