Clemente tied the conference mark set last season by former Wildcat Michael Beasley. He went 6-of-6 on 3-pointers and his last two free throws with 6.9 seconds left in overtime put the game away. Fred Brown had given Kansas State (14-7, 3-4) the lead with a 3-pointer with 18.6 seconds left.

Texas had rallied from 17 points down in the second half to send the game into overtime.

COLLEGE STATION – Bryan Davis had 18 points to lead four Texas A&M players in double figures and the Aggies got a win over Oklahoma State.

The Aggies led by 14 at halftime, but allowed the Cowboys to get within two points midway through the second half on a 3-point play by Terrel Harris. Donald Sloan then hit a jumper, got fouled on a 3-point attempt and made all three free throws to put Texas A&M (17-5, 3-4 Big 12 Conference) comfortably ahead.

Oklahoma State (13-7, 2-4), which has lost four of its last five, was led by Harris with 17 points.

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Tyrel Reed’s 3-pointer stopped what would have been a record-breaking comeback and Kansas held on for a victory over Colorado.

The Buffaloes nearly overcame a 21-point second-half deficit while gunning for their first win in Lawrence in 26 years.

Kansas (17-4, 6-0) seemed comfortably in front of the 20-point underdogs when Markieff Morris’ 3-point play made it 46-25 less than a minute into the second half.

But then Cory Higgins hit five straight points and the Buffaloes (9-11, 1-5 Big 12) went on a 27-8 run and got within two points of the school that’s beaten them 40 of their last 41 games.

Reed’s 3-pointer gave Kansas (17-4, 6-0) a 57-52 lead with 5:43 left.

Dwight Thorne’s bucket made it 64-61, but then Sherron Collins, struggling with his shot all day, sank two free throws.

Cole Aldrich had 15 points and 13 rebounds for Kansas, while Collins had 11 points and Morris and Brady Morningstar had 10 each. Thorne had 18 points and Higgins 15 for Colorado.
