I didn’t even think about the kids kicked off the team this year. Should be more than just three schollies available. Of course it does no good if there is a cap.

I think the over confidence leading into the cotton bowl and the devistation at Oklahoma have shown that Leach is a good coach and a brilliant technician, but not a great coach. The upcomming year will be yet another challange, higher expectations and national superstars gone. Will we fall back to the 7-5s of the world?

Leach has a chance to be a great coach but that will shine in years like 09 and not so much when all things are going his way.

Potentially why he wanted to negotiate before the start of the 08 season!

That might be 3 more scholarships, I’m not sure. I’m thinking there might be a limit to the maximum you can give out in any year.

Boy, sure seems like a lot of uncertainty going on with this program.
Around the hubaplex, a lot of people I talk to about the team, are confused about the stability of our program. Right or not, our recruits are sensing the same thing. I’m really interested if Leach and Co. can pull out of this in a positive way for Tech.

After this year’s only 2 loss season, we don’t want to slip much.

On another note, does anyone know how schollies work for sure. Do we get three extra for this year with Crabtree, Williams and Walker all leaving early?

TW is a good football player who has his priorities in place. College athletics is more about college than athletics in some programs, that is important, IMHO.
I enjoyed the good play from TW and hope the very best for him in the world of dentistry.
