I would like to believe that this game is a springboard for the Lady Raiders to reclaim the greatness that has been their history. However, a 72-55 win against a team well below Big 12 standards cannot be read as the harbinger of great things to come. The team still doesn't play good defense at all times, make good decisions, nor shoot well from the field. I keep hoping that Curry can coach these girls to championships and to national titles, but she still has a long way to go. One thing is for sure---I'm sick and tired of hearing about the girls lack of maturity, mindset, etc. To quote a Nike commercial---"JUST DO IT!!!" Get out there and play EVERY game as if it were the last you will ever play. That ought to fix a great deal that is wrong with this team. We have the talent, now use it!

Sorry about my mistakes in that second paragraph above. Maybe you can read around the mistakes and get what I was trying to say.

It was good to see the Lady Raiders play and make moves like I thought they would be able to. I hope that this is a springboard to the program turning around. I would love to see Coach Curry, her staff and the girls really do well. It seems to me that it is difficult to really evaluate a coach and a program until that coach has had a chance to develop his/her own recruits. I thought we would see a little more improvement by now, but maybe it is just around the corner. At least I hope so.

Another comment that I would make is that when we stretched the lead to twelve points some substitutions were made. I understand saving energy but this was in the second half with the substitutions made the other team cut into the lead. Why leave to same ones in for a little longer to got the big lead and let them maybe stretched it out further.

I do not know who to complain to so I will put it out here and hope the right people see it. I am a fan who does not get to attend games in person. Therefore, I paid for and get the games online though Raider Vision. I have really enjoyed it. However, tonight during much of the second half when Prairie View had the ball the video kept showing the get loud and make noise screen and then when the Raiders had the ball it would show play on the court. This is very annoying to those of us who pay the price for Raider Vision. We want to see the defense plays as well. I would venture to say that when a play is in progress, no one in the arena is watching the scoreboard and being encouraged to get loud. They get loud because of the play on the court. Perhaps those who are running the video are not aware that we who have paid for Raider Vision are losing out on the plays.

It was apparent from the announcer that some exciting plays were taking place on the defensive end of the court as well as what we saw on the offensive end. I do hope that this information will get to the right people so that this does not happen again. Guns up from here on in Lady Raiders.
