Class of ‘01, been in Santa Barbara, Ca since ‘05, and I was yelling and screaming in my living room and couldn’t believe what I was watching! Then I had to go to a Halloween party, but I was the happiest guy there, BY A LONG SHOT, and it’s even sweeter out here in USC (Univ. of Spoiled Children) country!!

I LOVE this article…mainly because it was myself and 3 of my girlfriend that were the one’s dancing on that bar on the upper East Side…New York may be the city that never sleeps, but no one parties like a Red Raider!!

I’ve been a Raider for 50+ years living in Houston. I helped ring the
victory bells on the day Tech was admitted to the SWC. Have never been more proud than I was on Sat. night. The victory bell (my old
Saddle Tramp bell) was ringing in my front yard.
I have not understood why so many tu’s read our blogs; is so they can show their class by posting snide comments? I certainly don’t waste my time reading their blogs or comments. Ony the other side, there are some horns with class. I got congratulatory
e-mails from several of them and on Sun. @church got a hug and
congrats from a good-looking UT grad that I had never seen before. It s great to get so much TV time and front page coverage here in Houston which is primarily Aggie and
tu country.

Go Raiders; beat the Okie Aggies.

Enough of the stories of how one person who acts without class is representative of the entire 56,000 + fans. Since everyone is talking about how horrible Tech fans are….I thought I would offset the negative comments. We were surrounded by several TU fans and made an effort to make them feel welcome. After a GREAT game of making small talk and discussing the teams and action on the field, and ending with the Tech fans exstatic. Three different TU fans sitting around us told me on seperate occassions that this was by far the best away game they had been to because of the way we accepted them as VISITORS!!!

KEEP YOUR FOCUS AND STICK IT TO THE COWBOYS!

Wreck EM TECH!

I’m a Texas Tech Alumni ‘99 living in Los Angeles. It was so great to watch the game here! I was looking forward to this game all week and it lived up to the hype. Found some great videos that I posted on my blog about the game. I lived across the street at Sierra Crossing and went to lots of games during my years in Lubbock. Let’s win every game and go for a national championship! I will ____ myself if we do and jump for joy if that happens!!!!! GO TECH.

Keep it classy by not degrading each other. No school is perfect and “he without sin cast the first stone.” It’s hard to contain emotion when you’re 18-21 years old, you’ve camped out for days to see your school play and then see a spectacular football game. Yeah rushing the field prematurely was not called for, but in the heat of passion, it happened. Enjoy the game of football please and don’t criticize us, we’re not perfect and neither are you.

If you want to discuss any of this with me, I would love to hear your comments, discussions from anyone such as alumni, Tech fans, Aggie fans, UT fans, etc..

I’m a 1976 Tech alum living in Reno Nevada. I thought seeing Tech beat UNR here in Nevada was going to be the highlight of this season! I have never seen a more exciting finish to ANY college football game as the Tech win over Texas! Congratulations guys. Run the table for us now! You have a LOT of fans out here, and even the Nevada fans want to see you do well. My neighbor is a UT grad but has been elk hunting,so I have not got to rub it in yet. You made us all proud. Keep up the great work.

I don’t know about Tennessee being all that superior, Tech is a fine school, first rate facilities, Mike likes it here and his scheme in building something here is more important to him than glitter. It might be difficult if offered but that hasn’t happened yet. No one knows for sure what’s in a persons mind but I do know that he enjoys what he’s got here in Lubbock. As far as money, how much does a person need. I don’t think money is necessariy a factor at his level. So just because people are talking doesn’t mean diddily. I get tired you people always thinking that the grass is greener somewhere else besides Lubbock. Lubbock is a great place.

Mike Leach is a very real hot topic of conversation as Tennessee’s new head coach…facilities, money, size of stadium, prestige, are all superior at Tennessee to most programs around the country, so it WILL be difficult for him to turn the offer down IF he is offered the job,
