One of the best college football games in my memory. Two teams played as well as they could, high intensity, lots of focus by the players, mistakes and great plays on both sides. A final win by the Air Raid with help from defense, offense, special teams...and a great group of fans. If I had been there, I might have stormed the field also...as early as the rest. In retrospect, it matter not a smittering one way or the other. Graduated 74.

I graduated in 94 and have always enjoyed everything about our University and the City of Lubbock. Raiderville caught my attention and I couldn't wait to check the blogs for updates on what the kids were doing. Please don't stoop to the level of TU fans in blaming the refs. If you watch the replays of when Orakpo was injured, he was clearly being held and no call was made. Yes the offensive pass interference was bogus and it was very suspicious when the flag was picked up on the punt return. Let's not take anything away from the way the team came out and slugged TU in the face. Way to go Colby on the safety. The crowd at the Gameday set was awsome, I had to hold back tears as I never thought ESPN would bring the show to Lubbock. The game crowd was even better and I hope for a repeat performance this week against OSU as I am bringing my kids from Dallas to our annual trip to Lubbock this week. Go Tech!!!! I was there last night when it looked like they would do it again. I have watched these guys play football for years and they are now at a peak of what good coaching and training brings. The only awful thing was the students (12,000) of them storming on the field with one second left. The two penalties resulting still couldn't rattle this team. My dad was a first member of the Saddle Tramps. Many of our family are TTU graduates and many more will be. I was there two years ago when we let them come back and beat us. One request, current collegiates, when you see a fellow Raider acting like a complete jerk to the fans of the defeated opponent, please have the guts to tell them to class up! Just celebrate your victories! There's no reason to antagonize and be classless and rude to complete stangers/opposing fans after the game! After Tech defeated A&M in College Station, you saw nothing but polite Aggie students. If they'd beaten us, they'd probably have been even nicer! Come on, Raiders, act like we've won before! Then, there are the idiots who began tearing up their own stands! We're not in South LA, guys! It's pathetic and humiliating, and it will continue until classy Raiders put a stop to it. Remember, we all get a bad name because of a small minority of morons. Best wishes for continued success! I’m a ‘79 grad. and am so glad I was there last night!
