I think NU fans are the classiest fans in College football. They never complain even when you would expect them to, and they are always complimentary of the opponent no matter what. NU had our number but we got lucky and got the “W” NU is up and coming and I am sure they will win some games this year that they are not supposed to. Good luck to the Huskers and see you next year in Lincoln!!! GO TECH!!!

I understand this is unchartered territory for TTU, but we as TTU fans need be appreciative of the 6-0 start. College football has become a game stats, and not W / L (which is a shame). Good win boys. We would have lost this game last year (Colorado??). As for my Nebraska Fans, I will see in Lincoln next year wearing Husker gear (we didn’t cover 24).

I agree, I agree horrible D. Yes, expectations are and should be high. Linebacker play gets an F. Ruffin needs to stop pushing Duncan in the press and push him on the field. Get a defensive gameplan and fpllow it. Earn respect as a defensive unit and Big 12 Championships will follow. This all starts with the linebackers.

I can’t agree more with John on the point of the fake FG. Giving up 3 points there was harmless. I wasn’t even watching the game but was listening on the radio. When they said the FG unit was coming out, I told others I was with that it would probably be a fake, and I am certainly no expert. The defense should have been to prevent the fake and give the Huskers the 3 points.

As for the defense, it is the job of the coaches to make adjustments throughout the game. Either none were made, or the players did not execute them. Maybe it’s some of both, but like Dexter said, the defense was really exposed, and teams much better than Nebraska are ahead on the schedule. Some major changes will need to be made or the rest of the season could get ugly. Having said that, I’m the eternal optimist and still have hope that this season will be special.

Tech won a game they would have lost any other recent year. That’s good. They’re learning how to be the favorite.

The way we won kept us from JUMPING up in the polls. That’s good too. If we go into the next game ranked third, I think the kid’s heads spin and we lose. Now they can have a little chip on their shoulders.

I know we’re talking about kids… but why doesn’t anyone mention the elephant in the room? Is our kicker really the best kicking student on campus? I’m not sure we shouldn’t go for two every time….. are drop kicks legal? (just showed my age)

This was a good win for the Raiders. Not perfect, but good. Hat’s off to the Nebraska Conrnhuskers. They came in with a good game plan and executed it extremely well. I think Pellini and company are going to bring them back into the mix of top programs in the country. Probably not as dominating as the old days, but almost nobody does that anymore. I will not look forward to playing them in Lincoln next year.
As for the Raiders, we get away with the W. But no one should come away from this one without recognizing we have a lot of things to work on and that you have to go out and work and prove things on the field every week. Actually, that’s the way I like it. Go Raiders!

LIke I said in another post…CHILL OUT Raider fans…6-0 is 6-0!
Gerald..just curious…do you have a FB background of any kind?
Game plans are what they are …extensions of the coach…the players have to git r done….you can raise all the ???? from the TV
or the PC… bottom line is getting the W…even Mike gave props to NU for their game plan …old school theory.. NU’s O was their D
vs. Tech…Red Raiders did what they had to do when they had to do it….so get ready for the AGGIES…different team and different
game plan…adapt + adjust = 7-0

John they didn’t give up a touchdown on the fake field goal. It was just a first down they gave up.

It was fourth and seven, with 12:37 left in the fourth quarter…there weren’t too many people thinking they had to fake it at that point.

I’m concerned about my Raiders. Maybe this will light a fire under our boys to prepare better and play harder. Meanwhile, I’ll enjoy 6-0 and #5 in the nation!
