As much as I would love seeing Crabtree back next year, barring any injuries, he will most likely move on since Harrell is leaving. Granted, I think Potts will eventually be as effective as Graham. I just don't think Micheal will take the statistics hit waiting for Potts to become a great QB. Right now Crabtree is arguably the best receiver in the college game. He will likely leave on top.

One game at a time.....had not seen a champion crowned after
five weeks...takes a lot longer to achieve....With an "O"making the
splash plays and a "D" that it taking its "que" from an high octane
coordinator...each week should be greatly anticipated..makes for great blogs BUT remember...champions are made in the preparation ...not the execution.....GUNS UP !

Tech is undefeated and that is all you can ask of the team. Unfortunately, the strength of schedule is a factor in the BCS. I honestly did not know UMass had a football team until this year, and I think you understand the point.

It is no longer enough to be beat A&M and be happy. Leach must beat UT , OU, and OSU and at least win the South Division and play for the Big 12 Title. Does anyone believe Crabtree will come back next year ?

UT and OU will always get picked ahead of Tech if all the teams have similar records for BCS bowls because they travel so well with their fans. Tech must beat these two schools to put a BCS in site.

The interesting thing this week is that OU plays Texas (one will lose), LSU travels to Florida, OSU (undefeated) plays Mizzou, & Penn State travels to Wisconsin. Could Tech end up in the top 3 with a win on Saturday and some not too far fetched upsets?

Well put JH. The thing that bothers me is the media. They can't have it both ways. I have heard all week, especially here in Austin, about how Tech is going to be upset by K-State. They didn't think to highly of who we have played to this point. Was it a lack of respect or trying to create an issue that is not there. What ever. The fact is that the college game day crew are there for our entertainment purposes. So Corso made a bold prediction and it totally went the other way. We will continue to watch him next week because we love this game and it is the best college game day show out there. But they can't say that we won against K-State because they aren't a good Big 12 team when just last week they were supposed to pull the upset. The Raider haters can't have it both ways. Either K-State is a good team or they are not. Make up your mind SportsCenter. But fact is that when we finally got rolling, we were the better team that day.

As far as the non-conference goes, has anybody questioned who Texas or OU have played? The non-conference games for Texas have all 4 defenses ranked 103 or lower. It's about the same with OU. You could play a top 25 but if you loose...well just ask Kansas about South Florida. Point is nothing is going to get desided until conference. Right now I like our chances.

Bring on the Huskers!!!

Great summation, Don! Many critics, to include Corso and Fowler on College Gameday, predicted Tech to lose. Corso's reasoning was that Tech had not faced quality opponents yet. I understand this reasoning a bit. I wonder what he is thinking now? Herbstreet was the only person on the pregame to get it right. He stated that all Big 12 powerhouses will take care of business this weekend, and except for Kansas having a hiccup, they did just that. By the way, of all the Big 12 teams that warrant attention, OState seems to be getting overlooked. UT vs OU, OState vs. Mizzou, and Tech vs. Nebraska this weekend. How fun is that?
