I'm a huge Bront Bird fan from watching him @ Odessa Permian and following him as much as I can this last year and half @ Tech. I'm a Texas Tech Alumni('89) and former Permian football player. I don't understand the theory of taking him out in passing situations. He was a ball hawking safety in high school and great receiver. I know he has gained weight but to me his ability to cover so well was his strongest attribute in moving him to linebacker. We came up for the SMU game and all he did was run off the field. As for keeping his legs under him, he started both ways for Permian @ safety and receiver, so i don't see him losing his legs at all. Would like other people viewpoints that have followed him as much as I have or just have an opinion on my observations.Thanks. Go Mojo & Tech!
